Brewed coffee tastes so wonderful, is it any wonder that so many people want to wake up to its taste. So you roll out of bed and head down to the kitchen to make yourself a cup to find that your coffee smells like onions. If you haven’t discovered it yet, you should know that coffee can pick up odors. This is why it is best to keep your coffee in airtight containers.
Better yet buy coffee in amounts you can easily consume. Keep in mind that coffee is perishable. Once the packet is open you need to finish it up as quickly as possible. If you’re really strict about it, once the beans are ground they’ll be stale in a matter of minutes of you don’t use them.
Oh, and to keep your coffee tasting great, take out the brew basket immediately once the coffee is made. You’ll also want to take it off the hot plate or brewer as soon as possible (definitely less than 45 minutes). Just make enough coffee that you will actually drink and make sure to serve it as soon as possible. It always tastes best when it’s freshly made after all.
